Watercolour For Beginners

In this monthly after lunch class

Bev, our guest watercolour tutor will guide you through the steps and methods for applying and manipulating watercolours, as well as tricks and tips to create some beautiful effects.

Price includes drink on arrival and coffee & cake break.

This monthly class will allow for plenty time to practice and you will be able to join our private Facebook group to ask questions and share your watercolour journey.

What will we cover?

This hands-on session will include:

An introduction to the various watercolour mediums

Appropriate papers and brushes

An overview of each medium’s properties

Application methods including wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry

Various techniques for creating depth, light and dimension

What will you need?

Paper (watercolour paper is best but anything will do)

Watercolour pencils and/or paints

Brushes

Black fineliner (if you have one)

We have some paints and paper to get you going so don't worry if you don't have any of the above! 😁
